SAN SEBASTIAN DURING THE BELLE EPOQUE

SAN SEBASTIAN DURING THE BELLE EPOQUE

Description

At the beginning of the 20th century San Sebastian became the summer capital of Spain. Queen Maria Cristina, many Spanish aristocrats and the high society chose the town to spend their summer holidays. Many of the stately buildings and beautiful promenades and gardens considered still nowadays landmarks of our town were built during the two first decades of the 20th century.

A highly recommended 2 hours pleasant walking tour for those who would like to know more about “Belle Epoque” times in San Sebastian.
